Summer is here! Time to start reading!

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, then you know that for the last 2 years my role has been a dual role…  I’ve been a 1/2 day resource teacher for 5th, 6th,7th and 8th grade students who have not shown success in their core math classrooms AND I’ve been working with teachers 1/2 day during their planning to help them with various ideas in the classroom. At the end of the school year, our new principal pulled me aside and told me that he wanted to utilize me as a full-time Instructional Math Coach!!!!  What?! I’m so stinkin’

I finally enjoyed my “first” day of summer yesterday.  School let out on the 10th…. but I haven’t had a chance to just sit and veg until yesterday.  It was wonderful.  And, how did I spend my day?
