Yes, yes, I know, it’s not *quite* July yet…. but tomorrow is Monday and I have a cute craft projects I made especially for tomorrow and my first Monday Made It link up…. soooo, we’ll just pretend for now! Cool? Okay… moving on
It’s JULY which means it’s time to link up with Farley at Oh Boy 4th grade!!
Listening: So my husband and I moved his office to the front guest room where we had installed room darkening blinds when we moved in. That rooms points due east so the morning sun made it WAY TOO HOT. He thought it would be fun to have more of a “cave”-like experience for his office. He also decided to design his own desk for his command center. I really like how it turned out! Anyhoo… he also put a comfy chair and side table in there for me to use when I wanted to “hang out” and work on my TpT stuff while he was playing a game. SOOOO….. now I am sitting in my comfy chair working on my blog, he’s gaming and Dozer is doing what he does best and snoozing it up!!
|Okay… slightly cheating… this isn’t him laying in the room at my feet, but it is a wonderful pic of him doing what he does best! AND it shows his cute tongue that always sticks out when he snoozes!
Loving: I don’t know that this one needs explaining….. so far we have cleaned very little (I really NEED to do that though, crafted a bit, went to visit friends, went into school for “math” things, enjoyed a summer pedi, and had a patio installed)
|Sad that so much grass around it was “bothered”… currently working on trying to revive it in this crazy heat!
Thinking: Hmmm…. productivity is a blessing and a curse in the summer. To me I should be crafting, relaxing, enjoying etc…. but let’s face it, this house isn’t going to clean itself! I need to work on that a bit more this week!
Wanting: In addition to the patio, we are getting a fence so Dozer will be able to go outside without his leash. He is going to love it! He’s actually really awesome without a leash on IF a kid or another dog is not around. He really, really likes making new friends! Anywho, the “3 week turn-around” has turned into more like a “7 week turn-around”… I get it, it’s summer…. but c’mon already! I would love to enjoy the fence before summer is over! Supposedly it’s going up on the 5th…. *fingers crossed*
Needing: Um… it’s July…. SLOW DOWN SUMMMMMMMMER!! enough said.
Tips, Tricks, Hints for new bloggers: I’ll be honest, when I first thought of bloggin’ I was VERY nervous. I wasn’t sure how it worked, or how I would sound or…. well, let’s just say I’m not the best writer in the world and I feared that I would come across as stupid (don’t get all teachery on me here! it’ was what I thought….) So, I stepped into blogging a different way. I made a PERSONAL blog that I did not share with anyone other than my immediate family and I made myself write on it daily. I decided to choose something I was thankful for each day and write about it. After 6 months of writing there, I made this blog. I think it’s come a VERY long way (some of my first posts are a bit scary IMO). Anyway, I decided to just be myself. JUST BE YOURSELF PEOPLE. If you don’t like that I am not grammatically correct, that’s cool! Everyone needs to do what works for them. If I tried to be someone else, or tried to live up to someone else’s expectations, this wouldn’t be FUN…. and let’s face it, if it isn’t FUN, why would I do it in the first place?!
Okay, before I go, one small plug! It’s the week of the 4th of July! If you teach summer school, or are at a year-round school and need a fun, get up and get moving sort of activity for this week or next…. might I suggest one of my kiddos’ favorites – a relay! (can also be used for Memorial Day, Labor Day, President’s Day, Flag Day, Veteran’s Day…. etc) AND because it’s a template you can make it suit YOUR NEEDS and YOUR GRADE LEVEL!! OH and did I mention it’s 20% off today and tomorrow (6/30 and 7/1)?!
